Hi Emily. Thanks for posting a comment. I use WordPress for my blogs. My personal website http://www.amberstarfire.com was created using DreamWeaver, and is hosted with GoDaddy.com. The Writer's Eye (http://www.thewriterseye.com) is hosted by Lycos. So I'm over the map when it comes to platforms. Dreamweaver gives me more control over the interface, but I have to spend more time doing it, and I've had to learn some html. I like the tools WordPress offers and many of the templates, but it has its limitations as well. Good luck as you travel your website (and raw food!) journeys.

Hey - nice website, just looking around some websites, seems a really nice platform you are using. I'm currently using Wordpress for a few of my websites but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it?

Hi,

Interesting observations. When I was raw I didn't notice exceptional health or energy either.. if anything I slept more. But as you say, I did like the clean feeling of the energy, particularly the lightness, if you get what I mean.

I'm going to start eating mostly raw now, as part of the cleanse I'm doing. It's nice to read other people's experiences :)

I really enjoyed reading your blog... can relate to so much of it! In particular, trying to scramble to find something to eat when life is busy, and trying to find a good variety of different lunches/dinners... and trying to stick to an 80/20 raw diet with a family (for me, a husband, three kids at home... a job, etc.!)

When it comes to good snacking cheats... there's a good recipe for raw oatmeal cookies -- all you really have to do is mix up some (I choose all organic): raw oats (soaked), maple syrup (could probably use agave syrup or raw honey), raw chopped nuts of choice, raisins, dates, dried fruit of choice, vanilla (optional)... and I usually add some cinnamon, allspice, and sometimes a small amount of buckwheat flour (if the concoction is too liquidy; you can also throw in unsoaked, dry oats to thicken it up)... Just mix everything together with your hands and drop handfuls on either Teflex sheets or non-bleached parchment paper (which I prefer b/c it's so easy to flip over and peel off once cookies begin to dry). I prefer to make the cookies thick and dehydrate so they're somewhat dry on the outside, but still raw and chewy on the inside. They are delicious! Great when you feel like having dessert (and pretty healthy... no refined sugars, flours, dairy, fats, etc.).
